My Loss - True, Raw Emotions!
This was an extremely difficult blog for me. It was pulled from my video which was even more difficult. If you would like to watch my video, you can Click Here.
The feelings and emotions you see are real. They are raw. They are painful. And now they are out there for everyone to see because I know someone out there is feeling alone, overwhelmed, guilty for grieving, confused, etc...
You aren't alone. Your feelings and emotions are valid. They deserve to be expressed to someone... anyone... even complete strangers through a public YouTube video or blog. Those were the choices I made. I also decided to create a Facebook Group for those of you who wish to join, Click Here.
If you watched my video called "The New Christy's Blog - I'm Back", you should know a large part of why I decided to rejoin the blogger / YouTuber world was due to the passing of my mom. Prior to mom becoming ill, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and my PTSD returned with a vengeance. I was placed on medication that made me gain most (if not all) of my weight back, I became withdrawn and I just couldn't keep up with life. If you suffer from depression or anxiety, you know exactly what I'm talking about. A while later, mom became ill and passed before I could even grasp what was going on. She was my person. She was the only person in this world who could talk me though my bouts of anxiety and depression. She is also the person who would have encouraged me to do what I'm doing now. While I am still so VERY deep in my grief, I am not honoring her memory by hiding from the world as I try to navigate life without her.
Prior to my diagnosis, I found joy and happiness in making videos about Paleo, Weight Loss, Dreadlocks, Family, Dogs & More! I owe it to myself and my mom to get back out there and give it a shot. After all, I have nothing to lose and it's what mom would want.
So, if you or someone you know is battling anxiety / depression or if you or someone you know is interested in weight loss through the Paleo Diet or if you or someone you know likes dreadlocks (locs), dogs, fashion and more, click here for blog updates or click here to subscribe to my YouTube channel. You can also keep up with my journey through any of my social media links below.
I look forward to living again and I look forward to catching up with all my friends (old and new).
